East End Planning Area Planning Document Review & Updates

JULY 2025

Focus group workshops are being held regarding the proposed updates to the East End Planning Area Secondary Planning Strategy and the East End Planning Area Land Use Bylaw.

Proposed updates to the East End Planning Area documents shall consider:

  1. Rezoning an area within the Planning Area currently zoned Industrial and Highway Commercial to the Mixed-Use Corridor Zone.
  2. Rezoning an area within the Planning Area currently zoned Agricultural to the Rural Zone.
  3. Altering the East End Planning Area boundaries to include properties around Lily Lake.
  4. Altering the allowed uses in the Agricultural Zone.

Focus Group Workshops
Please note that two focus group workshop sessions will be held to discuss the impacts of these potential changes with relevant property owners.

  1. For farmers, the sessions will be on Wednesday August 13th at 9:00am and Thursday August 14th at 1:30pm.

  1. For property owners affected by the zone change to the Rural Zone, the sessions will be on Wednesday August 13th at 11:00am and Thursday August 14th at 3:30pm.

  1. For property owners affected by the zone change to the Mixed-Use Corridor Zone, the sessions will be on Wednesday August 13th at 1:30pm and Thursday August 14th at 9:00am.

Only property owners notified by mail and local farmers in the East End Planning Area can attend. Please RSVP to the below contact information.
