Evacuation Re-entry: Water Testing Information
This information is for evacuees who have been granted re-entry and are now back in their homes.
Welcome home. We know the past weeks have been challenging, and we are grateful for the patience, strength, and community spirit you’ve shown throughout this time. As you return, your health and safety remain our top priority.
As a precautionary measure, the Municipality of the County of Annapolis is providing free water testing kits to evacuees. These kits will help test for the presence or absence of total coliform and E. Coli bacteria in your water supply.
We recognize that many homes in our county rely on private water sources such as wells, cisterns, or catchment systems. While the ongoing care and testing of these systems rests with property owners, the Municipality is glad to assist during this transition by offering kits and coordinating the collection of samples for testing.
Here’s what you need to know:
- One kit per civic household will be provided.
- Pick up your kit on Tuesday, September 16th, 4–7 pm, at the Nictaux Fire Hall (9349 Hwy 10).
- After collecting your water sample, drop it off at the Nictaux Fire Hall on:
