Council Extends State of Local Emergency as Wildfire Reaches Four Week Mark - September 12, 2025
The Municipality of the County of Annapolis has renewed the State of Local Emergency to continue to support management of the ongoing West Dalhousie wildfires, as the incident reaches the four-week mark.
A State of Local Emergency remains in effect for a period of seven (7) days unless renewed or terminated sooner. During this time, residents are required to follow all official instructions from emergency officials.
The Municipality continues to work closely with provincial partners, fire services, the Emergency Management Office, and local community organizations to coordinate response and support efforts.
