Council Highlights - July 15, 2025

Ecological Forestry Initiative – Municipal Council agreed to proceed with the proposed ecological harvest and associated access improvements.

 

Extended Bylaw Enforcement Agreement – Municipal Council authorized an agreement for the County of Annapolis to provide extended bylaw enforcement services to the Town of Middleton starting no later than September 1, 2025, and ending September 30, 2030.

 

Road Conditions – Municipal Council agreed to forward a letter to the Nova Scotia Federation of Municipalities (NSFM) expressing concern about road safety in Annapolis County resulting from insufficient funding allocated to the Department of Public Works, and echoing concerns expressed by other are municipalities.

Public Hearing:

All Saints Anglican Church (West Dalhousie) Municipal Heritage Registration – Municipal Council approved that the All Saints Anglican Church property, located at 3335 West Dalhousie Road, West Dalhousie, be included in the registry of heritage properties for the Municipality of the County of Annapolis.
