County of Annapolis Announces New Chief Administrative Officer

Warden Diane Le Blanc and Council are pleased to announce the appointment of Rob Frost as Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) for the Municipality of the County of Annapolis.

Mr. Frost was selected after a thorough recruitment and interview process. He is well known in the NS Municipal world where he has worked for the past fifteen years, most recently as the Deputy CAO for the Municipality of the County of Kings. Prior to working in Kings, Frost was the CAO in the District of Barrington, a Municipal Advisor with the Department of Municipal Affairs, and the CAO in Hantsport.

“We are so pleased to be welcoming Mr. Frost to take on the role of CAO,” said Warden Diane Le Blanc. “He demonstrates the skills needed to successfully embrace this multi-faceted position that requires an array of experience, talents and abilities to ensure a thriving municipality.”

Prior to working in Municipal government, the PEI native worked in career and economic development and ran his own business.

Aside from his work experience, Rob has been a community volunteer, coached youth sports, and has been involved in numerous municipal provincial committees. He brings a wide range of knowledge and experience to the position of CAO, with special emphasis on economic development, governance, and emergency services.

“I look forward to getting started in Annapolis and working with staff and council to explore current and future opportunities.” says Frost.

As new CAO, Frost will be taking over from Interim CAO Dawn Campbell.

“Council would like to acknowledge the significant contribution Ms. Campbell brought to the CAO position in the interim. Her support of staff and her dedication to maintain the daily operations of the municipality are valued and appreciated during this time of transition,” noted Warden Le Blanc.

Mr. Frost will be starting with the Municipality on September 15th.
