County Seeks Citizens for Climate Change Action Plan Review Committee
The Nominating Committee of the County of Annapolis is in the process of filling a new advisory committee that will review, consider, and make recommendations to Council regarding updates to the Annapolis County Climate Change Action Plan, and citizens are being invited to apply.
“The anticipated, long-term environmental impacts of climate change are wide-ranging and co-dependent,” said Warden Alex Morrison. “The creation of a Climate Change Action Plan Review Committee (and policy) is timely and necessary. The need for citizen involvement and input to complete this task is very important to the Committee’s success.”
The Climate Change Action Plan Review Committee will be made up of not more than three citizen members who currently reside or own property in the County of Annapolis, and not more than three councillors.
Anyone interested in applying, or wishing to learn more, is asked to contact Wanda Atwell, RM Coordinator/Deputy Clerk at nominatingcommittee@annapoliscounty.ca or (902) 532-2193.
Applications must be received no later than 4:00 pm, July 14th, 2023.
