PROCLAMATION

RECREATION MONTH

June 2017

 


WHEREAS    in Annapolis County, we are fortunate to have a variety of recreation parks,
                      water access locations and trail systems providing many opportunities for
                      residents and visitors to be active and explore our beautiful region; and 

WHEREAS    recreation activities help strengthen and build family unity, enhance
                      community interaction and pride, help children and youth develop
                      a positive self-image, and strengthen volunteer and community
                      development; and 

WHEREAS    Annapolis County parks, open spaces and trails ensure ecological beauty,
                      provide places to enjoy nature, and help to maintain clean air and water.

 THEREFORE  I, Timothy Habinski, Warden for the Municipality of the County of Annapolis,
                         do hereby proclaim June 2017, to be “Recreation Month” in the
                         County of Annapolis.
