County of Annapolis Playbox Initiative!

What a playbox is about:

The playbox initiative supports physical activity throughout the County of Annapolis. By providing boxes in locations where it can be used 24/7, reducing barriers to physical activity. The playbox initiative is a self guided free program that is built upon collaboration with County residents, community groups and recreation departments.

Please take care of equipment and return it to the box when finished. There is a variety in equipment for all ages, so that everyone has a chance to play!

The County of Annapolis partnered with Annapolis County Outdoor Sports Society (ACOSS) at the Bridgetown Sports Hub, and Middleton Recreation at Rotary Park for this initiative. Look for more partnerships in the future as the initiative spreads throughout Annapolis County!

Playbox locations:

  • Bridgetown Sports Hub (30 Faye Road, Bridgetown, N.S)
  • Rotary Raceway Park (337 Marshall Street, Middleton, N.S)

Playbox rules:

Please ensure all equipment is RETURNED after use.

Carefully ensure the playbox lid is always CLOSED to prevent damage to equipment and box.

Please let us know if this box needs attention by emailing rec@annapoliscounty.ca
