County Reaches Agreement with Unionized Employees
The County of Annapolis is pleased to have reached a four-year agreement with its unionized employees (CUPE Local 4549). This includes a rework of the wage grid to encourage continuous training and create more of an incentive for employees to obtain higher treatment certification; a wage increase in years 2, 3 and 4 of 3.5% per year (year one is different amounts for each classification since the wage grid itself changed); and the entitlement of four weeks’ vacation after five years of employment rather than after 10 years.
