Public Invited to County-Wide Plan Visioning Workshop
The public is invited to join Stantec and County Planners as the development of the provincially-mandated County-Wide Plan continues to move forward.
Based on information gathered from recent public meetings and online surveys, a Visioning Workshop is scheduled for June 29th in Bridgetown.
“We strongly encouraged people to utilize the public engagement tools being offered throughout this project, and they did,” noted Warden Alan Parish. “Residents truly stepped up to share their thoughts, views, and concerns around the development of this County-Wide Plan. Now, as the Plan moves into the next phase, the public is once again being asked to share their vision for the future of Annapolis County.”
According to Annapolis County Planner Victoria Hamilton, the workshop participants will be broken up into groups of 4-8 where such topics as environment, agriculture, housing, economic development, and infrastructure will be discussed and explored. The overall objective is to determine a vision for the County-Wide Plan.
“Vision and goals are the first puzzle pieces that will start the process of establishing zoning for all lands within Annapolis County,” said Hamilton.
The Visioning Workshop is being held on Wednesday, June 29th, 1:00 – 4:00 pm and 6:00 – 9:00 pm. at the Bridgetown Legion (20 Jeffery St.). Two sessions are being offered so people can choose a time that works best for them. Everyone is encouraged to attend.
