A message from Annapolis Regional Emergency Management Organization (REMO):

Please be advised that the planned power outage for Friday, July 18 affecting communities including West Springhill, Clementsvale, Frasertown, Bear River East, and surrounding areas has been cancelled, as the Nova Scotia Department of Public Works has completed their bridge work ahead of schedule.

Additionally, the heat warning for Annapolis County has ended.

As a result, the comfort centres originally scheduled to open today (Friday, July 18) at the following locations will not be activated:

• Felker Hall Community Centre - 734 Broadway Ave., Cornwallis Park

• Bear River Volunteer Fire Department - 1277 River Road, Bear River
