County Continues to Seek Representation on Advisory Committees

The Municipality continues to seek interested individuals to fill vacancies on the following Advisory Committees:

As a committee member you will work in a team environment; listen to and be respectful of the opinion of others; communicate effectively and constructively; and make recommendations to Council based on these discussions. An honorarium and reimbursement of travel expenses is provided.

To qualify as a citizen appointee, applicants must have no outstanding taxes, fees, charges or liens owing to the Municipality at the time of appointment. Except as otherwise noted, every person shall be qualified to be appointed as a citizen member of a committee who is a Canadian citizen of the full age of 18 years and has been ordinarily resident in the municipality or in an area annexed to the municipality for a period of six months.

An application to serve on a board or committee can be as simple as a letter, email, or facsimile which includes your: civic, email, and mailing addresses; phone numbers – land line and cell; the reasons why you wish to serve on the committee; and how you meet the criteria. A sample application letter can be provided at your request.
