Information for Voters

To be an eligible Elector (to be eligible to vote):
  • You must be 18 years or older on the first polling day (October 5, 2020)
  • You must be a Canadian citizen on the first  polling day (October 5, 2020)
  • You must have been ordinarily resident in Nova Scotia for at least six months immediately preceding the first  polling day (October 5, 2020)
  • You must be a resident of The Municipality of the County of Annapolis since immediately before the first polling day (October 5, 2020)
The list of electors revision period has now ended.  We are no longer able to make changes or updates to the list of electors until Oct 1, 2020.

with any changes or additions.
Any qualified voter can be added or have their information updated from October 1, 2020 until October 17, 2020. 
The Voter Helpline will be answered from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday and 8:00 am to 7:00 pm on Election Day (October 17).

Electronic voting (by home phone or computer) opens October 5 at 7:00 am until October 17 at 7:00 pm. Your Voter Information Letter will advise you of the details on how to vote. If you haven't received a Voter Information Letter in the mail by October 1, 2020. Please contact our Voter Helpline.
