Just a reminder to the water utility customers of Margaretsville, there is still a mandatory water conservation order in place.  Please see below for information regarding the order.

Mandatory Water Conservation Order for the Margaretsville Water Utility.

Customers of the Margaretsville water utility please be advised that the reservoir levels in Margaretsville have reached critically low levels. The County of Annapolis is initiating a mandatory water conservation starting July 29, 2025. 


Under this order the following activities are banned:

Watering of gardens, lawns, trees etc. Washing of vehicles or homes, filling pools or running sprinklers.  This conservations is mandatory for both business and residents on the Margaretsville water utility system. 

Anyone found breaking these rules may be subjected to having their water service disconnected per section 38 of the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board Orders for Annapolis County. 

This mandatory conservation order will remain in place until the water reservoir levels are restored.
