Update and Manage My Business Listing

In order to manage your existing business listings, you must log in first with the username (email address) and password that you selected when you set up your initial listing.  If an initial listing was set up for you on this system by a staff member, you can CLAIM that listing by finding it in the directory and clicking on the CLAIM button. Create you new account with your own choice of login information, and wait for an admin to approve your request to claim that business. You will receive a login link in your welcome email, and will now be able to manage your listing.

Welcome to the Annapolis County Business Directory (the “Directory”), operated by the Municipality of the County of Annapolis (“the Municipality,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).
By creating an account, submitting a business listing, or claiming an existing listing, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. Purpose of the Directory

The Annapolis County Business Directory is a free public resource designed to promote local businesses, organizations, and services within the Municipality of the County of Annapolis. Listings are intended for informational purposes only and do not constitute endorsement by the Municipality.

2. Eligibility

  • Listings must represent businesses, organizations, or services operating within the boundaries of the Municipality of the County of Annapolis.
  • You must be an authorized representative of the business or organization you are registering or claiming.
  • You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account or manage a listing.


3. Creating and Managing a Listing

  • Users may create new listings or claim existing ones by verifying their connection to the business or organization.
  • The Municipality reserves the right to request verification information (such as business name, address, or ownership proof).
  • You are responsible for ensuring that all information in your listing is accurate, up to date, and free from misleading or inappropriate content.
  • Listings may be edited, updated, or removed by the Municipality at any time to maintain the integrity of the Directory.


4. Prohibited Content

You agree not to submit or post:

  • False, misleading, or defamatory information.
  • Content that violates copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights.
  • Offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate material.
  • Links or promotions unrelated to your business or organization.


5. Review and Approval

All new listings and claims are subject to review and approval by the Municipality before being published or transferred. Approval may take several business days.
The Municipality reserves the right to reject or remove any listing that does not meet the Directory’s purpose, standards, or community guidelines.


6. No Endorsement or Guarantee

Inclusion in the Directory does not imply endorsement, recommendation, or guarantee by the Municipality.
The Municipality makes no representations or warranties regarding the accuracy or reliability of information provided by listed businesses or organizations.


7. Privacy

Personal information collected through account creation or listing management will be handled in accordance with the Municipality’s Privacy Policy and the Nova Scotia Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIPOP).


8. Limitation of Liability

The Municipality is not liable for any loss, damage, or inconvenience resulting from use of the Directory, including errors, omissions, or temporary unavailability of the service.


9. Changes to These Terms

The Municipality may update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The most current version will always be available on the Directory website. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
